Oregon state songsmith’s seventh album July Flame came out this month.  Her CDs are immaculately produced and, although a huge fan of her recordings with the band, most notably Carbon Glacier, I’m looking forward to hearing her latest lo-fi efforts.  She played Exeter Phoenix a couple of years ago with enormous presence and sounded even better in the flesh.  The show was solo with more repeater pedal awesomeness.  She is the only person who can make winter, extreme cold and icy wilderness sound a faintly attractive proposition.  This is gothic gorgeousness for the RAB generation.
