A relief several months ago when the National Trust took over the stretch of coastline to include Welcombe Mouth.  They have been hugely restrained in their efforts – no loos, no information boards, only minor road and path repairs.

Plans were afoot to introduce some rare breed cattle onto the gorse, which has got a little out of control over the years.  The notice said Belted Galloways and Highlanders, these being hardy beasts, able to withstand the winter weather.  Only two of my absolute favourite of all bovine breeds.  I await their arrival with extreme hope – cows might fly…
