Bit of a dearth of late but enjoyed these two.

A Royal Affair with the ever watchable Mads Mikkelsen as the King’s physician whose influence helped to change the course of Danish history.  Three wonderful actors who portray their triangular relationship with sensitivity and realism.


The Women on the 6th floor is a film about the Spanish women who came to Paris during Franco’s regime to be maids to the affluent.  Not a particularly prepossessing sell but the film had charm, contrasting the joie de vivre of the women with the frigidity of the class conscious French.
